Beach Cities Volleyball
Indoor volleyball players of all levels will see their skills improve by attending Beach Cities Volleyball (BCVC) Summer Camps and Performance Clinics, all while having fun. Ages 8 to 18. Ten weekly sessions: June 12 through August 18. BCVC includes hundreds of players, several dozen teams, competitions, clinics, and an entry-level program. In its 23rd year, many BCVC alumni continue playing volleyball in college and many return to coach for the club.

CampSurf
Camp Surf has been the official City of Manhattan Beach surf school since 1997. It provides safe, fun and educational instruction in surfing and the ocean environment for boys and girls ages 7 and up. The low student to instructor ratio of 4:1 guarantees personal attention and, most importantly, safety. All campers are provided with surfboards and wetsuits. Camps are held at Rosecrans Avenue, in Manhattan Beach, the best location in Los Angeles to learn to surf. All instructors are CPR and First-Aid Certified, and are experienced watermen and water women.

Coast Music Summer Programs
While pleased to return to in-person summer music camps, we are continuing to maintain a safe indoor environment. All of our group singing and performances will be held outdoors. This year, we start off with our long running and most popular Jazz Intensive class. FRAM
FRAM is one of the nation’s oldest soccer programs. Established in 1964, FRAM helped bring “The Beautiful Game” to the South Bay. FRAM offers various competitive levels to develop youth players. FRAM boys compete in the SoCal League, National Premier League and the EA League. FRAM Girls compete in the Girls Academy League, the Development Player League and the SoCal League. Freedom Surf Camp
Freedom Surf Camp offers a wide range of ocean activities at Bruce Beach, Manhattan Beach. We prepare groms to participate in local contests sponsored by the South Bay Boardriders Local Club. We also offer private adult and private women’s surf sessions. We emphasize developing the ability of kids and adults to connect with the ocean. Freedom offers all day, morning and afternoon sessions, June 12 through August 31.

Hermosa Surf Camp
Learn ocean safety, basic surfing techniques, and tricks like the switchfoot, coffin and nose ride. Learn about ocean conditions, sea life and the beach environment. Coaches are in the water to help paddle out and catch waves. There is an L.A County Lifeguard, and California Credentialed Teacher supervising. Classes have a 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio for safety, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Soft surfboard included. Also included in the price is a T-shirt, rash guard (lycra surfing shirt) and three photos of the student surfing. For boys and girls ages 7 to17.

KHYF sailing
King Harbor Youth Foundation (KHYF) offers classes at all levels, from beginning sailors to national level competitors, ages 7 through18. Our summer program is the best way to start a lifelong passion of sailing. Summer sailing camp starts June 12 and runs through August 11. Sessions are split between morning (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) and afternoon (1 – 4 p.m.). Learn about safety near and on the water, teamwork, and seamanship skills. Having fun is a priority for this class, so sailing games and other skill-related activities are incorporated into the course, along with a fun day at the end of each session. KHYF also has a community outreach that reaches hundreds of kids each year.

Waterfront Education on the Redondo Pier
After years of adapting through various teaching conditions at their previous SEA Lab location, April 2 found Waterfront Education moving to new space above the Redondo Beach Pier. “While we’re excited to continue offering adventures throughout our harbor, our new venue provides an exciting opportunity to explore and build impactful experiences with our students,” said Executive Director, Julie Coll.
