First Thursday, San Pedro

Founded in 1997, the monthly First Thursday showcases galleries and the arts in downtown San Pedro between Pacific Ave, Harbor Boulevard, 4th, and 9th streets. Dogtoberfest, SC Botanic Garden

It’s a beer festival meets dog parade at South Coast Botanic Garden’s Dogtoberfest. Humans and dogs alike are invited to join the festivities every Saturday and Sunday in October. Pawrade your pooch around for a unique pup crawl where you can visit up to 4 stations located throughout the Garden and enjoy free beer samplings. Join the 47th Annual Manhattan Beach 10k and experience one of the most scenic courses in the South Bay. Live music, and post race expo at the finish line. Over 4,000 runners will take to the streets for this moderate to slightly difficult course through downtown and residential Manhattan Beach, finishing at the Manhattan Beach Pier. First-Saturday clean up

Vets meet at 8:30 a.m. the first Saturday of the month to clean the Hermosa Beach Veterans Memorial Sundial and perform various tasks, such as flag exchange, minor landscaping, and more. 25th Anniversary Water Harvest Festival, El Segundo

Skechers 16th Annual Pier to Pier Friendship Walk 

Registration is open for the Skechers Friendship Walk on Sunday, October 20 at 8 a.m. The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk rallies thousands every October for a fun-filled celebration at the beach, where families and friends gather to walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back in support of our children. Manhattan Beach Food & Wine Festival
