Skechers 16th Annual Pier to Pier Friendship Walk 

Registration is underway for the Skechers Friendship Walk on Sunday, October 20 at 8 a.m. Families and friends walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back in support of the Friendship Foundation, local Education Foundations and Skechers college scholarships. The walk has raised over $24 million since its founding in 2009 by Rabbi Yossi Mintz and Skechers CEO Michael Greenberg. Registration and information: skechersfriendshipwalk.com

Leadership Hermosa Candidates forum

Leadership Hermosa hosts a city council candidates forum with candidates Michael Detoy, Michael  Keegan, Elka Worner, Jani Lange, and Brian Scheil. Council Chambers, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive. Bay Cities Coin Club meeting

Learn about coins, currency, error coins, error bills, wooden nickels, and civil war tokens. MB Historical Society fundraiser

The Manhattan Beach Historical Society fundraiser, “Own a Bit of History Sale” at the Little Red House in Polliwog Park. Meet and Greet Artist event

Through Sunday, October 13. Palos Verdes Art Center Artists (PVACA) presents the last Malaga Cove Art on the Lawn Show of the season. Torrance Historical Society Homes Tour

Intro to Medical Qi Gong

Cancer Support Community South Bay first in a three-part series of workshops led by Benj Sinskul, a Medical Qi Gong Practitioner. Medical Qi Gong is one of the four foundational schools of traditional Chinese Medicine. Using experiential techniques, attendees will learn to sense chi fields and how the movement of energy affects health. The Frosty Olympics

Team Frosty is a group of people dedicated to supporting and loving our good friend, husband, father, and neighbor Mike “Frosty” Foster who is bravely battling ALS.
