Triathlons
How impressive is your endurance? Could you take on a triathlon?
Triathlons are multi-sports consisting of swimming, running, and cycling, not necessarily in that order. As difficult/challenging as they seem, at least one million people in America give it a shot every year.
In California, it’s that time of the year again. Locals have the chance to join the upcoming triathlon, and registration has already started.
This competition is the 38th Annual Tinsel Triathlon, and it’ll happen on December 8, 2024, in Hemet, California. There are four races over a distance of 5 km, and it’s open to first-timers and veterans.
The 38th Annual Tinsel Triathlon will begin with a 5K rub, progress into a 12-mile bike ride, and end in a 59-meter heated pool where the participants must cover 150m. You can join as a team or individual, with the gate fee for both categories varying from $59.30 to $160.
Running
“When you’re racing you can’t hear anyone and you’re just in your head. It’s pretty cool to know that everything is just you and it’s just a mental game.” – Penny Oleksiak, Olympic runner.
There are different races, including 5K, 10K, half marathons, marathons, and ultra-marathons. This Q4, you can register for any of these challenges.
For the half marathons, there are competitions in Santa Monica, Castro Valley, Long Beach, Davis, and Camino, among other locations.
The Ultra marathon will take place from Marina through Lake Chabot reservoir and the surrounding hills. It’s happening on November 16.
As expected, this ultramarathon is an extreme sport, with the most challenging one being 50K in the distance. There are other challenges in the Ultra Marathon package for November, so don’t let the 50K competition scare you off.
Altogether, there are many exciting racing challenges this Q4, and you can check out Findrace for the perfect fit.
