Hydrotherapy, skippered by Bruce Honer, earned the Sweepstakes Award at the 20th Annual King Harbor Yacht Club Boat Parade last Saturday evening. Other award winners were Baldeep Sadhal’s Duet for Execution of Theme, the Sea Scouts Das Schiff for Best Animation; Lee and Lorain Coller’s Pascal’s Wager for Best Lighting, Bruce Neighbors Pier Pressure for Best Sail Boat, Jerry Wolfe’s Distraction for Best Power Boat and Bob Travis’ Racer Chaser for Best in Fleet. Hal and Ines Davidson and Barbara Cairns were the Grand Marshalls for their work in helping found the signature South Bay Holiday event. Nearly 20 brightly lit power and sail boats made three loops around the main channel, to the delight of thousands of spectators dining in local restaurants and lining the waterways.
