Located in Redondo Beach, the Elite Training Center provides self-defense and fitness to people of all ages, from the general public to the military, police officers and others who protect the public.
Elite Training Center (formerly LOTAR Self Defense) teaches techniques such as LOTAR® (Close Quarter Battle techniques) and Krav Maga (intuitive self-defense independent of strength or size), Muay Thai kickboxing, Adult Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as sport, Youth MMA, and Kali/Silat/Eskrima (Filipino open hand and stick fighting).
“Elite Training Center focuses on giving the best possible real world self-defense techniques to the student,” Program Director Shawni Young said. “The primary focus is to change the world one student at a time. We do this by being role models for the student base through the four pillars Elite Training Center is built on – Honor, Respect, Discipline and Strength. We do this both on and off the mat by constantly showing that we are responsible for more than just ourselves. In fact we are responsible to serve and assist the people next to us. We see it as our obligation to help all achieve success, not just ourselves. Through this commitment our community is built and can never be torn down. We focus on the strength of the team and assist the individual to become part of something greater than themselves. We do this not only through the martial arts we teach, but by connecting to the history and philosophies built within them. Through this complete connection we separate ourselves from any competition or competitor.”
Instructors are experienced in both the teaching and the application of defense techniques in actual street or combat situations. Chief Instructor Brian Rauchbach has 16 years of operational experience in professional security contracting.
