With nearly $43,300 in new grant money from the U.S. Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, the Manhattan Beach Police Department will join forces with El Segundo and Hermosa police to bolster enforcement of alcohol-related regulations in licensed establishments.
The three agencies will work with federal investigators to provide training to alcohol-beverage control (ABC) licensed establishments and patrol officers, according to a press release.
The initiative, which will last until the end of next June, also entails inspections and sting operations at licensed establishments throughout Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and El Segundo to determine whether they are abiding by state laws and operating under local permits.
