South Bay Business Leaders Summit
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual South Bay Business Leaders Summit (formerly the Women in Business Conference) on Mar. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Manhattan Beach Marriott.
The keynote speaker will be Tracy Cioffi, vice president of marketing and direct sales at See’s Candies. Cioffi was recently included in the Fortune Most Powerful Women Next Generation list. Tickets begin at $125 and can be purchased at manhattanbeachchamber.com.
Soles4Souls
For the fifth year in a row, nonprofit Grades of Green is collecting gently used shoes to be given to Soles4Souls, which distributes them to the 300 million children worldwide without shoes. Donations can be dropped off at the American Martyrs 5K run on Feb. 21, after mass throughout the weekend or at the Village Runner through Mar. 1.
Circle of Hope fundraiser
Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach will celebrate young cancer survivorship at the first annual Circle of Hope–a Masquerade soirée. The fundraiser will be held at the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach at 1221 North Valley Dr. on Mar. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit more than 160 free monthly programs offered by CSC-RB. Reservations are $95.00 per person, and can be purchased online at
