ART90266 is now accepting artist submissions and corporate sponsorships for The 2012 annual ART90266 auction, to be held at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach on October 25. Proceeds will fund trips to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for Redondo School district second and third grade students.

The show is being organized by LA25, a network of South Bay professionals. The exhibit will include a live auction of fine art, photography and mixed media by artists from within and around the South Bay. Contributing artists include Al Satterwhite, Anthony Friedkin, Alex Weinstein, Bo Bridges, Brian Kingston, Tricia Strickfaden and Robert Glenn Ketchum.

“ART90266 is a remarkable event that brings together the community for a common purpose,” said John Capellaro, co-founder of LA25. “The artists, sponsors and guests are giving their time and money to a targeted program that will touch the lives of our community’s children in a positive way. We hope that the children might discover their inner artist and have their imagination lit in a new way that inspires and affirms their creativity.”

“LACMA is an amazing place and spending a day there can be a powerfully inspiring experience for young children. We are very fortunate to live in a

community where the collective efforts of artists, sponsors and organizers can give our youth exposure to our local cultural treasures, which they might not otherwise see,” said Annette Alpern, Ed.D, the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Services at the Redondo Beach Unified School District.
