The Satin Dollz opened the Concert in the Park at Polliwog Park  Sunday, July 3 with a USO style tribute to our Armed Forces. The annual series continues Sundays, 5-7 p.m., through Sept. 4. Where’s Waldo game

Waldo is hiding in 25 local businesses in downtown Manhattan Beach. Stop by Waldo headquarters at {pages} a bookstore at 904 Manhattan Ave., Manhattan Beach to get started. When you spot Waldo at any of the participating businesses, go inside to collect a store stamp or signature. Once you’ve collected at least ten different store stamps/signatures, take them to {pages} to claim a Waldo temporary tattoo and a $1 off coupon (limited to the first 125 Waldo-spotters). Summer concerts at Manhattan Village

Summer Concerts have returned to Manhattan Village, 3200 N Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach. There’s live music 6-8 p.m. every Thursday in The Plaza through Aug. 25. Shakespeare by the Sea 

Shakespeare by the Sea is back for its 25th season. “Much Ado About Nothing” opened on June 23, followed by “Romeo & Juliet” on June 30. Shakespeare by the Sea will be at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro through July 9 and Aug. 5-6. The group will be touring July 10-Aug, 4, with stops in San Pedro, Rancho Palos Verdes, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance, Encino, Mission Viejo, South Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Santa Ana and Aliso Viejo. Summer concerts at The Point

The Point in El Segundo welcomes visitors to the Sounds of Summer, a family-friendly music series that will take place from 6–8 p.m. every Wednesday from July 6 to Sept. 28. Every week features a new musician or band with tunes ranging from folk rock to reggae. The Point is located at 850 S. Pacific Coast Highway. Family Fun Day

The Redondo Beach Police Department will hold Family Fun Day at the Park from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Veterans Park, 309 Esplanade, Redondo Beach. Celebrate Wellness

Join Cancer Support Community South Bay as they celebrate 35 years of providing free support programs for those affected by cancer. The 25th annual Celebrate Wellness food and beverage tasting fundraiser, hosted and sponsored by the South Coast Botanic Garden, will be held from 3-7 p.m. at 26300 Crenshaw Blvd., Palos Verdes Peninsula. Proceeds will be directed to free programs of support, education and hope offered by CSC South Bay. Acupressure and Cancer

Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) offers this free workshop led by Ana Paula Duarte, a licensed acupuncturist. Participants will learn how to give themselves an acupressure massage with specific points to relieve some of the most common side effects of cancer treatment, such as nausea, chemo brain, lymphedema, hot flashes, dry mouth, joint pain and neuropathy. The workshop will be held from 9-10 a.m. at 2601 Airport Drive, Suite 100, Torrance. The Los Angeles County Police Canine Association will hold its annual Police Canine Demonstration on July 16 at Sea Hawk Bowl at Redondo Union High School, 1 Sea Hawk Way, Redondo Beach. There will be a public education safety fair from 1-3 p.m., followed by the K-9 demonstration from 3-5 p.m.

South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society

The South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society’s July speaker is Gary Duke, who will give a presentation on northern Argentina cacti and succulents. He recently visited the region.
