King Harbor Yacht Club J/70 sailors took first place at the J/70 U.S. Youth Championship, last month on Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida. The four-member crew of Brock Paquin, River Paquin, and Justin Zmina advanced to the Championships through a series of 12 qualifying events that started in February at the St. Pete NOOD Regatta and ended in August with the J/70 Pacific Coast Championship in San Francisco. J/70s are a 23-foot sailboat named Boat of the Year in 2013 by “Sailing World” for its speed and stability.
