CenterCal Properties, the development firm chosen to develop 15 acres of leaseholds at the Redondo Beach Pier, will host a community input forum this Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd. A main point of conversation will be centered on ensuring the developer guaranteeing that the project enhances the community’s ability to interact directly with the waterfront. Boaters and harbor stakeholders are especially encouraged to attend. Community members will have a chance to share their concerns and ideas.
They will also discuss establishing a public boat launch facility adjacent to the South Turning Basin.
The 15 acre includes the Pier Plaza, International Boardwalk, Redondo Beach marina and three pier properties. The second workshop will be on Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Main Library’s second floor conference room at 303 N. PCH. A public design workshop is scheduled for Jan. 17 at a still unannounced location. ER
