Hermosa Valley School students served soup in handmade bowls at the Second Annual Empty Bowls dinner on Feb. 29. The event helped raise awareness of local, national, and global hunger. During the dinner guests enjoyed music by the school band and a performance by the drama students. The ceramic bowls in various colors and patterns were handmade by Ms. Ripley’s art students. Guests got to keep the bowls.
Local businesses donated the soup and bread. All proceeds from the event will go to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
