Holiday Cheer at Gum Tree – Hermosa Beach

Gum Tree owner Lori Ford (second from left), and family join Santa for the 15th Annual Gum Tree Photos with Santa fundraiser on Sunday in downtown Hermosa Beach. The Santa photos raised almost $5,000, adding to the nearly $100,000 the Gum Tree and Santa (Kendall Wallace) have raised for the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation.
Hanni and Louie Schmieder, of Hermosa Beach, Kerstin Wreford, of Sidmouth United Kingdom, Jurgen and Fin Schmieder, and Erika Stabtler of Munich Germany celebrated Wreford’s 40th birthday with Santa at Gum Tree on Sunday.

The BMoved Foundation, founded by Beastie’s Boxing gym owner Cedric Jones, joined Beastie’s trainers, the SamoHi surf team Surf Bus, and the City of Hermosa in hosting a day of beach sports for nearly100 kids from the Happy Trails foster kids program on Sunday at the Hermosa Beach pier. Gathering at the end of the day in celebration of the event, and memory of Jones, who died last month, are Hermosa Community Resources Director Lisa Nichols,  BMoved Foundation’s Michele Reyes, Hermosa Police Chief Paul Lebaron, BMoved’s Morgan Jaffe, Supervisor Holly Mitchell field representative Jessalyn Waldron, BMoved boxing coach Christian “Tip Firepong, and Happy Trails Camp Director September Sucher.
