Supplies you’ll need to make DIY Halloween cards
You will need a few things to make your own Halloween cards. Some of these items may already be at home, but if they aren’t, don’t worry; you can find them at most arts and craft stores.
- A blank piece of paper or card stock (you can use any colours you like, we love green, black, and orange for our Halloween cards)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Pencil
- Black marker
- Glitter
How to Make a Halloween Card
Here’s a step-by-step tutorial for making a handmade Halloween card.
- Start by drawing out what you want your card to look like. For example, if you have a picture of a haunted house, then draw out the shape of the house.
- Next, draw the door and windows, then outline the roof.
- Once you have drawn everything out, cut out the shapes using scissors.
- Next, glue down all the pieces onto the backside of the paper.
- Use the pencil to trace around each piece.
- Finally, cut along the lines with the scissors.
- Take the black marker and write “trick or treat” across the top of the card. Write the date underneath.
- Finally, add some glitter to the card. Add more glitter where you want it to appear.
