Crime recap Nov. 12 through Nov. 18:
– In the 2700 block of Artesia Blvd., a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu stolen Nov. 10 was recovered by the LAPD two days later.
– At Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Rindge Lane, a green 1993 Honda Accord was stolen.
– In the 1900 block of South Pacific Coast Highway, a 2002 Ford F-350 truck was stolen.
– In the 3700 block of Inglewood Ave., a Ford E-250 van stolen Nov. 6 was recovered Nov. 18 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Compton Station.
— A locked 2003 Ford F-250 vehicle was taken from a secure storage lot in the 3700 block of Inglewood Ave. The truck contained commercial carpet cleaning equipment.
— In the 1600 block of Kingsdale Ave., a suspect followed a female victim from a bank and forcefully took property from her, after which she ran to the suspect’s vehicle in an attempt to retrieve the items, opening the passenger door before she was pushed from the vehicle as the car fled. Losses reported included a Rosetti purse, Fossil wallet, checkbook, cash, CDL, Samsung flip phone and more.
— In the 1500 block of Beryl Street, someone used an unknown pry tool to attempt to enter a maintenance building’s front door. No entry was made, no loss.
— In the 3700 block of Inglewood Ave., entry into a locked storage unit by unknown means led to a loss of miscellaneous electronics items.
— In the 1900 block of Firmona Ave., a spotlight cord was cut, and entry made into a locked construction site shed. Loss included a 50” plasma TV.
— In the 500 block of Esplanade Ave., entry was made by suspects into a secured building using a key, accessing main vaults of mailboxes. Losses reported included miscellaneous mail and a United States Post Office storage bin.
— In the 2700 block of Gates Avenue, someone entered an unlocked side door of a garage to take property from an unlocked vehicle. Losses included a duffle bag and garage door opener.
— In the 600 block of South Catalina Ave., a secured apartment building was entered and items taken from a possibly unlocked vehicle. Losses included a Nordstrom’s skirt, two Nordstrom’s blouses, a bikini and aviator sunglasses.
— In the 600 block of South Catalina Ave., a secured parking garage at an apartment building was entered and a locked road bike was taken. It was not secured to the building.
– In the 600 block of Esplanade and 600 block of South Catalina Ave., packages were stolen after entry into a stairwell of an apartment complex. Losses included Super Goop sunscreen, a sweatshirt, salad dressing and two toothbrushes.
– In the 300 block of The Village, someone entered a complex’s parking garage and cut a cable lock on a pole to steal a Jettison foldable E-bike and a mountain bike.
– In the 500 block of Anita Street, property was taken from an unlocked Toyota RAV4. Losses reported include a passport, ultrasound photographs, checkbook, Starbucks gift card and cash.
– On Felton Lane, south of Matthews Ave., a 2008 BMW 328i was entered by unknown means. Property taken includes a custom car radio and a plastic piece from the front driver’s side mirror.
– In the 500 block of South Helberta Ave., an attempt was made to enter a 2013 Chevy Equinox by drilling a hole in the keyhole. No loss reported.
– In the 2000 block of Carnegie Lane, a 1993 Toyota Tacoma was entered by unknown means through the rear camper shell. Lost property reported included a Baker skateboard, Apple airpods, Coto-Paxi backpack and a razor knife.
— In the 1800 block of the Esplanade, cash and credit cards were taken from a 2020 Honda Passport. Entry was made by damaging the lock on the driver’s side.
— In the 2000 block of Vanderbilt Lane, a 2006 Toyota 4Runner was entered through a smashed front passenger window. Loss reported was a Discover credit card.
— In the 2900 block of 190th Street, a locked 2011 Mercedes C-Class was entered by unknown means to take a blanket, iPhone cables and a mask.
– In the 2600 block of Vargas Way, a locked 2018 Honda Clarity was entered by unknown means to take property. Losses reported include golf clubs, Taylor Made golf bag, London Fog jacket and Titleist golf balls.
– In the 2000 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd., a 2021 Infiniti was entered via an open sunroof. Property loss reported included a North Face backpack, Air Pods, cash, wallet and credit cards.
– In the 2700 block of Ripley Avenue, a 2020 Tesla Model 3 was entered through a smashed window. Lost property included a drone and drone accessories, Sony A73 camera and Tamra 28-200 mm camera lens.
– In the 600 block of South Catalina Ave., a 2019 Jaguar iPace was entered, possibly unlocked. Losses reported include Oakley and Ran-Ban sunglasses, Jaguar wristband activity key, gym bag and cash.
– In the 600 block of Meyer Lane, a possibly unlocked 2018 Hyundai was entered. Losses reported were a DeWalt tool bag with many DeWalt tools and a CDL.
– In the 2600 block of Rockefeller Lane, a possibly unlocked Honda Ridgeline was entered and a Jumper starter taken. ER
