MEDITATION
Labyrinth Walking Meditation. The walking meditation works for stress relief, helps to solve challenges and increase creativity, gives an opportunity to quiet thoughts, focus on life plans and having peaceful time to yourself while listening to beautiful music. The Series, The Beauty of Nature by Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. Kon-Tiki. With five loyal friends in tow, explorer Thor Heyerdal sails a fragile balsa wood raft along an ancient path some 4,300 miles across the Pacific. Along the way, they’re attacked by tidal waves, sharks and other dangers. HIKE
Manhattan Beach conditioning hike. Make new friends and get in shape on easy 2 hour, 4-5 mile hike on Manhattan Beach streets, trails, and strand. Sponsored by local chapter of the Sierra Club, all welcome. Meet at 9 a.m. every first Sunday of each month at Live Oak park by the Police Memorial, 1901 Valley Drive, Manhattan Beach, under giant oak tree by tennis courts. Beginners conditioning hike. A moderate, 1 ½ hour, 4 plus mile hike on the greenbelt and hilly streets of Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. This hike is sponsored by the local chapter of the Sierra Club and occurs every Tuesday, all welcome.
