The Asia America Symphony Association held its annual tennis tournament banquet, dinner and concert last month at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The event included a silent and live auction, with Manhattan Beach City Councilman Steve Napolitano serving as guest auctioneer. Rancho Palos Verdes City Councilwoman Susan Brooks made a special presentation to AASA Music Director David Benoit, honoring him for his 20 years as the organization’s creative director. The highlight of the evening was a performance by Benoit, who was joined with several AASA alumni who have gone on to professional careers in music.
