The Peninsula Chapter of National Charity League hosted its annual Holiday Tea at the home of Patroness Britta Shannon. Over 500 participants guests attended three separate teas, including seven of the chapter’s past presidents. Each of the three teas involved two classes– a host class that provided and served refreshments, and a guest class that invited a close friend or relative to join them. Social Graces Tea Chair Michele Feller oversaw this year’s event. The annual tea is served in a formal setting, where the girls learn the skills of etiquette, greeting and conversing with guests and serving beverages, tea sandwiches and desserts. In this modern digital era, the experience allows participants to connect on a personal level without technological distractions.
